DRY
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 cups sugar
1 cup unsweetened dutch cocoa powder
WET
½ cup vegetable or canola oil
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1 cup soda water
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

1. sift first 2 dry ingredients - flour/baking powder/salt/
2. beat sugar and eggs till fluffy
3. add oil & cocoa powder to wets (sugar & eggs)
4. add 1/2 dry and 1/2 cup of soda water mix then add final amounts of wet and dry till combined.
do not over mix
5. add vanilla until incorporated.
6. pour into desired pan but times may vary due to difference in pans.
- i like to use a bunt pan. since this is a test recipe i have set the timer for 30 minutes and will check to adjust time.
added 20 minutes - batter still wet.
