- 3/4 cup water 113F
- 1/4 cup half and half
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons yeast (try 3 tsp next time)
- 1/3 cup oil (forgot to add to first batch and they were still great)
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon softened butter
- 3 to 4 cups all-purpose flour (1 cup at a time)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- half and half for brushing on top of rolls
proof the years with the water, half & half and sugar with the yeast.
add the butter in pea size amounts to help the butter melt.
sift the first cup of flout with the salt.
add the first cup of the flour to the wet mixture and combine (used a fork), continue adding the flour one cup at a time till the dough stiffens.
knead the dough lightly till smoothens out then weigh out into 1.5 oz and lightly roll into balls and then place in a sided pan.
let them rise for 10-30 minutes
bake 400F 20-30 minutes depending on ounces
1.5 oz will be closer to 20 minutes
2 oz closer to 30 minutes
x3 for 45 rolls
