Greek Chicken Souvlaki Gyro Wrap



  • 3 lbs chicken tenders 
  • 1 batch of the dry rub
  • Grill the chicken until done - do not over cook! 
  •        FOR THE CHICKEN DRY RUB
  • 4 teaspoons dried Italian season - oregano/parsley/ thyme 
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  •  2 teaspoons chicken-flavored bouillon granules
  • 2 teaspoons dried celery flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  •        FOR THE TZATZIKI SAUCE 
  •      1 cup plain yogurt - if you'd like it thicker buy greek style or hang yogurt in cheese                                         cloth to remove moisture 
  • 1/2 cup chopped cucumber
  • 1/2 tbsp. chopped shallot or onion
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh mint
  • 1 tbsp  chopped fresh dill
  • Juice from a lemon - or less to taste but i love it tangy 
  • 1 tbsp. olive oil - or more to taste 
  • Salt to taste

  •       FOR THE SANDWICH
  • 9 pitas (warmed)
  • spoon full of  tzatziki
  • 3 grilled chicken tenders
  • 2 tbsp. chopped tomato
