Cinnamon & Cardamon Bread no dairy

batter up 



Dry: 
2 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder 
1 tsp salt 

Wet: 
1 egg 
1 cup liquid - cow milk/ coconut milk/ alt milk 
1/3 cup oil 
1 cup sugar 
Cinnamon Swirl:
2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp cardamon
1/8 tsp powder ginger
1/3 cup sugar
1/4 tsp salt 

Hard Sauce: 
2 TBSP vegan or cow butter melted
3/4 cup powder sugar 
1/4 juice of a small orange 
1/2 cup chopped and toasted pecans or other nut 



HOW TO MAKE:

Sift Dry ingredients 

Stir Wet ingredients

combine in 1/3 a time dry into the wet and be carful not to over stir - lumpy/ shaggy is ok

take a bread pan and spray with oil and place parchment paper inside the pan

pour 1/2 of the batter into the pan and then sprinkle 1/2 of the cinnamon swirl mix on top and take a knife and swirl into batter

take the last 1/2 of the batter and pour on top and add the remaining 1/2 of cinnamon swirl on top and swirl into the top and use a damp spatula to smooth the top. 

place in over at 325F and bake for 60 min

Hard Sauce: 
melt butter and mix into powder sugar and then add the juice to loosen slightly then add nuts 
mix and top to bread while it's cooling (i like to place early to help keep the bread moist and yes moist is the appropriate word here....)
