DINNER TONIGHT: roasted buttermilk brined chicken




buttermilk chicken 

4 pieces of chicken (leg quarters, legs, thighs, boobies) 

2 cups buttermilk 

4 cloves garlic pressed 

2 tsp dried rosemary

1 tsp thyme

2 tsp parsley 

2 tsp salt 

2 tbsp honey 


mix all ingredients together then add in the chicken. 

can marinate 12-48 hours


when ready to cook: 

bring out the chicken and let it drip dry

roasting in an oven: 400F on a roasting pan. 

smoked roasted in a bbq indirect heat: prep charcoal bbq with coals on one side and none on the other and have a drip pan under the chicken.  prep the coal and once they're hot add the chicken and close the lid. 

indirect heat 2-3 hours no need to turn. the chicken is done once it reaches 165F internal temp crack the lid of bbq and let it cook till 180F internal temp. 


BAKED POTATO- 450f in the toaster oven for 45 minute

Dress your day an potato- salt, bacon bits, sour cream


STEAMED BROCCOLI - steamed in a steamer pot tossed with salt and butter
