First Batch of Peaches 2021
35 peaches peeled and halved
6 quarts ball jars and lids - boiled for 20 minutes to sanitize
big bowl full of water
1 lemon
syrup:
3 cups sugar (around 1 cup of syrup per quart jar full of peaches)
6 cups water - boil and keep hot with sugar in it to make syrup
MAKE:
peel peaches and place them into a bowl full of water with lemon slices into it to keep the peaches from browning.
make syrup and keep hot.
remove ball jars from hot water and pack peaches into the jars cut side down.
each quart jar took about 10-11 half peaches.
pour hot syrup into ball jars. wipe with a clean cloth.
take the lids and place onto of jars and secure with rings.
place back into the hot billing water and boil for 20 minutes to seal the jars.
