beer cheese for sourdough pretzels


 

½ cup heavy cream  
1 egg yolk (if making pretzels save the whites for the wash)
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoons dijon mustard
½ teaspoon garlic powder
¼ teaspoon black pepper
¼ teaspoon paprika
½ teaspoon fine sea salt
¼ cup beer (miller lite, pbe etc)
2 cups sharp cheddar cheese (used 1 cup shredded mexican cheese blend 1 cup sharp cheddar) 

INSTRUCTIONS

in a sauce pan on medium heat add the heavy cream, egg yolk and seasonings and bring to a low simmering.
Add the beer and shredded cheese and stir on low unil the cheese has melted completely. Transfer to a serving dish and serve hot.
